When we first envisioned The East Coast Social Club, we knew it had to be about more than just discovering beautiful places.

We wanted it to be about community, about connection, and about leaving the places we love even better than we found them.

At its heart, ECSC is about telling the stories of passionate people doing extraordinary things – the chefs who are true artists, the hoteliers who create sanctuaries, the winemakers who bottle the soul of a region. And sometimes, the most extraordinary people are the ones working quietly, behind the scenes, to provide hope and safety to those who need it most.

That is why we are proud to support SunnyKids.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, SunnyKids is a remarkable organisation with a simple, mission: to help children and families escape the cycle of poverty and domestic violence. What struck us so deeply about their work is that it goes beyond just providing a bed for the night. They understand that a crisis is not just a moment, but a chapter in a person's life, and they are there to help them write the next one.

Through their programs, they provide thousands of nights of emergency accommodation, giving families a safe harbour in the middle of a storm. They provide "Village Vouchers" for essentials like food and fuel, offering dignity and immediate relief. But crucially, they also look to the future, running mentoring and literacy programs that help at-risk children build the confidence and skills they need to not just survive, but to thrive.

It’s this thoughtful, holistic approach – this blend of immediate compassion and long-term empowerment – that makes their work so vital. They are not just a service; they are a "virtual village," a network of support that wraps around a family and tells them, "You are not alone. We are here with you."
